The little things...

As the end of the year approaches and the festive season begins, once the organising is done and the days of celebration arrive...
I begin to breathe a little more slowly.
The days are all of a sudden less busy and there is more time for the little things...
Soaking in the landscape on my drive home to the country.
Making sausage rolls, while Hannah strolls and chit chats with her Nanna.
Letting Hannah play in the bath for as long as she pleases
(because there's nothing more pressing on my to do list for today).
Taking a detour to buy locally grown boysenberries.
Improtu family visits.
Hearing my big girl's voice from Dublin this morning...
even if it was for just a second or two.
... and playing with bells. :)
I'm more than content to let the rest of this festive season be filled with more of the same.
